European Café Debate, Tunis

Date:
Wednesday, November 29, 2017 - 15:30
Venue:
Hôtel Maison Blanche, Tunis

Building on the preliminary research findings of EUNPACK we would like to invite all relevant stakeholders to discuss the challenges arising from the implementation of EU objectives in Libya, particularly in the fields of humanitarian protection, border management and security sector reform. The European Café Debate provides an opportunity to collect voices from the field and bring them to the attention of policy-makers. The attendance is open to the public, and we expect this event to be highly participative and engaging.

Jerome Heurtaux and Chiara Loschi, from IRMC, and Luca Raineri and Francesco Strazzari from Sant'Anna, will represent EUNPACK. Confirmed speakers include:

  • Khalid Al-Margani, director of LibAid Tripoli office,
  • Ahmed Albibas, Moomken Organization for Media and Awareness
  • Ahmed Bay Tamzoo Mohamed, president organisation société civile Sebha
  • Patrick Barbier EU ECHO
  • Mehdi Ben youssef, Amnesty International, MENA region office
  • Dr Mohamed Kriaa, Team Leader and Theodora Korkas, Project Officer, International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
